TIFFNY CALLOWAY'S BIO

Tiffny Calloway

  

Tiffny brings extensive expertise as a veteran of local, state and national government. She previously served as the 

Director of Community Development for the City of 

Jonesboro, AR where she directed the function and activities of the Community Development and Grants Department, ensuring that the City’s mission, core values and strategic initiatives were measurable and incorporated into operation activities and services. She launched programs such as the Jonesboro Neighborhood Leadership Program and the Micro Enterprise Business Acceleration Program to engage citizenry and create opportunities for local small businesses. 


Prior to her service with the City of Jonesboro, she served as Regional Economic and Community Development Officer for the Delta Regional Authority, supporting Delta communities in Arkansas and Tennessee by helping to identify and fill capacity needs in support of local and regional project development efforts. She was the key resource for project development, coordination of outreach and information sharing, funding acquisition, and implementation of local and regional projects that emphasized place-based strategies. 


Before joining the Delta Regional Authority, Mrs. Calloway served as the Northeast Arkansas Regional Manager in the Community Development Division of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. At the AEDC, she worked with over 20 counties to build regional partnerships and provide technical assistance, programs, and services to communities across the state in their economic development efforts. She also served as liaison to Boards and Commissions for the Governor of Arkansas. She advised the Governor on board vacancies and needs to approximately 150 health, medical, and education-related boards. 


Mrs. Calloway is a native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She received the Distinguished Service Graduate Award at Arkansas State University where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biological Studies. She is a graduate of the Community Development Institute receiving the 2017 Ernest L. Whitelaw Award.
